Teamspeak 3 Technical Difficulties

Teamspeak has been down for at least 8 hours since this post. Our TS3 host stated the following:

“We are aware of the problem and our admins are currently working to resolve the issue and we should have you back up and running as soon as possible. We will notify you of any updates via this ticket, we are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience in the matter.”

That’s all I know, and now the rest of you know as much as I do as well. I’ve sent a request for a ticket update this morning and will continue to update this post as more information becomes available. If the issue drags out for too long we can and will switch server locations.

*** 5:40pm pst update

“A Denial of Service attack was disrupting service in this location. Your server should now be back up and running properly.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. We are taking additional steps with our upstream provider to attempt to reduce the impact of future attacks.”

So this was true for about an hour or two, then the servers went down again. I’m looking into moving the server, but I need to talk with a few people first. More news to follow as the situation changes.

*** 8:55pm pst

“The network disruption in this location was the result of a denial of service attack. Our upstream provider had no other choice but to temporarily block all incoming traffic to this machine to protect their network’s stability. They have stated they will remove the block and allow traffic flow once the issue subsides.

Again, we will provide more updates here once they become available. ”

FFFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu…n
Let’s have a vote. Deal with it or move to a new location? Reminder: We moved from the Texas server to the Colorado server because a) Texas server was shit & b) Colorado was more centralized than the other options. I’m leaning towards Moscow this time because I heard in Russia servers DDoS you. That or San Jose.
